We had a great day at Fun on the Green on 11th May. Lee Valley Regional Park Authority had done a great job of organising a huge range of activities, and APE Media put on some fantastic performances at the inaugural Wild Kingdom stage event! A little drizzle couldn’t spoil our fun, and thanks to all Friends of the Wild Kingdom who were able to join us.
Join us for a fun-filled day on Three Mills Green on Saturday 11th May, from 12 to 4pm. Activities will include performances on the stage, seed planting, bird and bat box building, face painting, crafts and petting farm animals. A tea tent, ice cream van and BBQ will be providing refereshments. For more information go to: www.visitleevalley.org.uk or call 08456 770 600.

Weekend Wild Play Activities
Saturday 22nd September, 11am – 4pm
Come and explore the new playspace with the help of our Wild Playworkers and wildlife photographers.
On Thursday 23rd August, we spent the day with Play, Sow & Grow making minibeast hotels. We learnt about habitats for different insects that we might find on site, and made great places for them to live from logs, sticks, sheep’s wool, dried leaves and bricks. We also practised our woodwork skills by helping to fix logs together with oak dowels and a big mallet!
We are pleased to see the new Wild Kingdom stage taking shape. The reclaimed timbers will make a great surface for performances in front of the new amphitheatre.
Join us to help build the Wild Kingdom on Thursday 23rd August (ages 5 – 12) and Thursday 6th September (ages 12+). Booking is essential, so get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org
